I, Vernon A. Springer, am honored to share that I will be inducted into the 44th Cricket Hall of Fame, with the official Induction Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Born in St. Kitts & Nevis, associated with Leeward Islands’ cricket board, and based in Antigua, Vernon A. Springer is a voice passionate about West Indies cricket. Here’s one who speaks on talent from a Barbados with as much passion as he does for Guyana, someone who sees the world as one family not a divided isolated identity, Vernon A. Springer is all this and more.
His voice- brave, unafraid to hold its own ground- stands out from the social media noise and the clutter surrounding it. Mr. Springer’s honest assessment and impassioned love for figures that have defined West Indies the 22 yards and those that extend beyond it holds weight. He is to cricket in the Caribbean islands what Sir Curtly Ambrose is to a bouncer, what a Brian Charles Lara is to the exquisite cover drive and what Gudakesh Motie is to Guyana.
And that’s the thing about a brave and indefatigable voice, isn’t it? That it can’t be fit into boxes, there are no contortions that can belittle it.
AND THAT’S THE THING ABOUT A BRAVE AND INDEFATIGABLE VOICE, ISN’T IT? THAT IT CAN’T BE FIT INTO BOXES, THERE ARE NO CONTORTIONS THAT CAN BELITTLE IT.
It’s about time that one of such individuals, in a world full of crowds gets the honour he deserves. Which is why the cricket hall of fame, commandeered by the impressive and distinctly elegant Michael Chambers, is honouring one of West Indies cricket’s own.
Vernon A. Springer will be awarded with the honour of being inducted into the cricket hall of fame, and as caught at point, as a publication that is committed to recognising brave and tireless soldiers of the game, it is a moment to celebrate. One to cherish, for times to come!
The cheerful and discerning Cricket expert exclaimed the following in honour of the recognition he will soon be marked with:
This prestigious recognition celebrates a lifelong journey in the world of cricket—spanning over 40 years—as a player, coach, administrator, commentator, and journalist. Throughout these decades, i have remained deeply committed to the growth and promotion of cricket, especially in the Caribbean and beyond.
Now, here is a question. How you can contribute to the event and occasion:
As part of this historic occasion, the cricket hall of fame will be publishing a commemorative souvenir booklet, and we are currently inviting businesses and individuals to show their support by placing advertisements or congratulatory messages within its pages.
What is the cricket hall of fame and what do we know about it?
The cricket hall of fame, the first of its kind in the world, was established in 1981 and is located in hartford, connecticut.
This year is the 44 rd anniversary of the establishment of the hall of fame and the induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Marriott hotel, 228 day hill road, Windsor, Connecticut 860-847-5012
What does this mean for Vernon A. Springer?

Mr. Vernon A. Springer has been selected to be inducted into the cricket hall of fame. And this very event gives cricket fans and the admirers of sport, in general, the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of a man who is perhaps one of the most sincere and honest voices on cricket in the Caribbean.
Many of you might already be knowing him as the cricket operations manager for Leeward Islands. But he’s more. A lot more.
Much like the reach of Shai Hope, not merely a one day batter anymore, or a returnee to the test side, but a captain-batter whose commitment to the west indies far extends the island nations, mr. Vernon A. Springer is the voice that is far reaching. And must be heard from, if it isn’t in large numbers already!
Let us take a moment to celebrate a fine, giving man. And above all, a bold voice unafraid to call a spade a spade and a champion, a champion in the world of west indies. For to be a messenger of cricket for the common man whilst doing brave, uncommon work isn’t an everyday scenario. But then, neither is Vernon A. Springer of VASports media inc!
