”The two-week T20 tournament will feature multiple teams with a mix of international stars, ex Ranji Trophy players, and local talent, competing in high-octane matches under upgraded facilities at Bakshi Stadium.
Adding further prestige to the league, former international cricket icons, ex first class cricketers, and celebrated coaches will participate as mentors and players, ensuring young cricketers from Jammu & Kashmir gain invaluable exposure and guidance.
Surinder Khanna,Ex Indian Cricketer & IHPL Mentor, said: “I first came to play cricket in Kashmir in 1972, and today, I am proud to return with a vision. From October 23 to November 7, this league will be a golden opportunity for the youth of J&K. With 50% of players selected through a fair and meticulous trial process, we aim to discover the next Umran Malik or Parvez Rasool, and give them a platform to shine.
Ashu Dani, IHPL President, remarked: “We came to Kashmir for three things — sports, youth, and tourism. With eight teams playing six matches each, this league is designed to showcase new rising talent from Jammu & Kashmir while also putting the Valley on the cricketing map.
Parminder Singh, Founder of Yuva Society and Visionary behind IHPL, added: “When we founded Yuva Society in 2011, the dream was to give young athletes the platform they always deserved. IHPL is an extension of that vision— built on integrity, opportunity, and the belief that every young player deserves a chance to rise.
”Nirmal Sidhu, League Secretary, said: “The foundation of IHPL rests on what Yuva Society began in 2011 — empowering youth through sport. With this league, we are taking that mission forward by creating opportunities that go beyond the game.”
Beyond cricket, IHPL promises to be a festival of sports, culture, and community. Fans can look forward to cultural showcases, fan engagement zones, and entertainment segments alongside thrilling matches.
With the motto of empowering youth, boosting sports tourism, and creating a global cricketing hub in Kashmir, the Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL) is set to leave a lasting legacy.
